Pole - Finder: Free Standing Poles
Our free standing poles either have a higher stage or a lower stage:
The higher stage (32cm) allows you to still be seen performing on a flat surface, like on a market.
The lower stage (11cm) decreases the step down from the stage of the pole, increases the useable length of the pole be about 20cm and is about 10kg (12%) lighter.
Please choose the colour and the diameter on the product page. For this the following tips:
Dancing Poles in titanium-gold provide a little more grip than the chrome-silver ones. However, you may choose according to your colour preferences and the colour of the room where the pole will be without making a mistake.
All Poles are available in three different diameters (thicknesses) - 40mm, 45mm and 50mm.
40mm Dancing Poles are advantageous if you have small hands so you can have better grip on the pole. They are however, not competition standard.
45mm Dancing Poles are slightly easier on smaller hands and are the ones usually used in competitions.
50mm Dancing Poles have a larger surface area and provide more grip with all body parts. That means some poses that require grip from the elbow or the knees can be held longer. It is also easier to change from a thicker pole to a thinner pole, as your grip strength is enhanced the more you practice on a thicker pole.
